Women protest – Donald Trump: “I am the father of conception”

Date:

US presidential candidate Donald Trump has described himself as the ‘father of conception’. His competitor Kamala Harris is lying when she claims he is against artificial insemination.

Shortly before the American elections, Republican Trump tried to appeal to women and families in particular about the issue. He announced in the summer that the US government would pay for artificial insemination (in vitro fertilization) if he won the presidential election on November 5.

Alternatively, insurance companies should be forced to pay for treatment — an unusual position for Republicans.

The issue has been controversial in the US since the Alabama Supreme Court ruled earlier this year that frozen embryos count as children. Several clinics in the southern state have suspended their treatments because there were too many unanswered legal questions. The ruling is consistent with the theory advocated by abortion opponents, which is that embryos and fetuses should be considered children and enjoy legal protection.

Women protest in Washington
Meanwhile, in the capital Washington, thousands of women took to the streets during a “Women’s March” to campaign for Trump’s competitor Harris. “We will not go back,” the signs and chants read, as US media reported.

“I have a message for former President Trump: We don’t believe you when you say you want to protect women,” the Washington Post quoted a speaker as saying.

According to organizers, about 10,000 people attended. Thousands of others marched through the streets in other cities. The ‘Women’s March’ first took place in 2017, after Trump’s inauguration. At the time, hundreds of thousands of people demonstrated in Washington alone.

Competing for the same voters
Harris and Trump are fishing in the same voter pool and fighting for every vote because a few tens of thousands can make a difference. Harris accused the Republican of becoming “increasingly unstable,” obsessed with revenge and seeking unchecked power. Trump called Democrat Harris a “person with a low IQ.”
