Date:

High-quality aluminum collides, athletes are catapulted onto the hard floor and spectacular throws find their way to the basket! Yes, wheelchair basketball is pretty tough. However, despite the association’s unique inclusion efforts, this has not yet reached the general public.

When the Austrian basketball women meet Croatia in Vienna on Thursday, it will once again become clear that the basketball fighters’ association has written inclusivity very, very heavily on its chest. To ensure that wheelchair-dependent fans Sarah Sagerer and Co. can also cheer during the European Championship qualifying event, a stairway was installed in the Hallman Dome, which is unfortunately not barrier-free.
