A 20-year-old woman who was sexually harassed by a 64-year-old man at a German train station in the summer will now stand trial. The woman fatally injured the payer with a knife during her defense struggle. However, for the public prosecutor there is no question of self-defense.
The serious attack took place at the end of June on an escalator at the main station in Kaiserslautern (Rhineland-Palatinate). The man from Eritrea suddenly grabbed the 20-year-old American woman’s ass. A verbal argument ensued that escalated completely.
Suddenly the woman pulled out a pocket knife
The woman pulled out a pocket knife and threatened the attacker with it. He retreated, but according to German media reports, the woman continued to attack the attacker. He held the hand that held the knife. As he drove away, the 20-year-old stabbed the 64-year-old in the heart.
According to the Public Prosecution Service, there was no murder and therefore the charge is not murder or manslaughter, but physical injury resulting in death, but there is also no question of self-defense. A trial date has not yet been set.
