A questionable operation took place in Vienna-Floridsdorf on Wednesday evening: a father and his 17-year-old daughter allegedly had an argument there. The 43-year-old then allegedly chased her with a wooden spoon and a knife. The 17-year-old fled with her sister.
The reason for the loud argument between the two is said to have been the girl’s religious views. Out of anger, the father allegedly waved not only the wooden spoon but also a knife and chased her with it. Together with her older sister, the 17-year-old fled through the window of the ground floor apartment.
Father kicked out of apartment
Emergency services from the Vienna Police were immediately on the scene – the father was evicted from the apartment. An entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against him. Police said Thursday that the 43-year-old said he had become increasingly concerned about his daughter and her religious beliefs. He was generally reported.
