On Sunday in Gerlos, the vehicle of two local residents skidded on a snowy road and fell over an embankment. The residents were able to come outside. The fire brigade recovered the car, but those involved refused to tow it again.
A vehicle accident took place on the B165 in Gerlos on Sunday around 2 p.m. For unknown reasons, while driving uphill on the snowy and slippery road, a car from the Kufstein district went over the right edge of the road and slid down the slope, where it got stuck in the snow after several meters.
When emergency services arrived, both occupants had already gotten out of the car under their own power. The vehicle was recovered by a towing service. However, those involved in the accident refused to continue to tow and continued to drive the accident car.
The volunteer fire brigade, emergency services and police of Gerlos were at work for about 1.5 hours.
