The works council of Mercedes Benz at the Vitoria-Gasteiz plant has reached an agreement on the joint conduct of strikes and demonstrations on the days June 30thwhich was already planned, and the 6th of July in defense of the agreement. For their part, ELA, LAB and ESK have decided to strike called for the 29thwhile that of day 1 will depend on what is decided in the meeting these three unions have organized for this Wednesday.
This agreement was reached during the extraordinary plenary meeting of the committee held this Monday with the aim of reaching a consensus on the planned mobilizations at the Alava plant.
Finally, according to several union sources to Europa Press, the committee has decided to strikes and unitary mobilizations on the 30th, the date for which a strike was already announced which coincided with the Metal de Álava strikeas well as for July 6.
On the 30th, the committee has agreed to go “all together and with the same banner” and the workers will be called upon to participate in the metal mobilizations for the Diputación at 6:30 pm in the morning and in the afternoon. On July 6, there is also a single call and a 10:30 am march in the factory and a protest at 6 pm on Plaza Bilbao in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
