This year, the police recorded 50 traffic accidents in Vienna in the first quarter alone, involving e-scooter drivers and causing injuries. The electric scooters can not only pose a danger during use – they are often simply parked in the middle of the sidewalk and thus pose a dangerous tripping hazard.
22 accidents involving e-bikes ended in death
The increasing popularity of e-bikes is also accompanied by an increase in the number of accidents.
