Not a quiet Christmas for the Florianis from Pöllau (Styria): first they had to go to a fire, then to two fallen trees. The work was not completed until 10 p.m.
Even on December 24, the volunteer fire brigades are ready for the Styria! The firefighters from Pöllau experienced what that can mean this year. Shortly before 4 p.m. they were first alerted to a fire at a green waste facility, the fire was quickly extinguished.
Tree fallen
Barely an hour after this operation came the next one: a tree had fallen on Masenberg and was on the other side of the road. The crew recovered the tree.
After that, everyone hoped for a quiet night, but at 7:30 PM the next call came: The Wenigzell fire brigade needed help because a tree had fallen on a high-voltage line due to the storm. The tree was recovered using a crane and a chainsaw. The Florianis didn’t move back in until around 10 p.m.
