A spectacular accident may have occurred on the Inntal highway on Friday morning. A woman crashed into a traffic sign and was then thrown onto a guardrail.
The incident took place at the Ötztal highway exit on the Inntal highway. A woman may have left the road for an unknown reason shortly after 9 a.m. and crashed into a traffic sign.
The car was then thrown into a guardrail where it came to a stop. The Silz fire brigade responded with 24 emergency services to a report of a trapped person and a fire in the vehicle. At the scene of the accident it turned out that the woman had already freed herself from the vehicle. FF commander Michael Haslwanter from Silz said: “Normally it is always a worse operation if someone is trapped. In this case, the woman was already out of the vehicle when we arrived.”
The vehicle was also not on fire. The fire brigade cordoned off the accident scene and only had to disconnect the battery. After about an hour the Florianijünger mission was over.
The woman was probably injured and was treated on site by emergency services. Significant damage is believed to have occurred to the vehicle.
