Two men were fatally shot and a third seriously injured by gunfire at a mechanical engineering company in Bad Friedrichshall in the northern German state of Baden-Württemberg on Tuesday evening.
The perpetrator is on the run and the search for him continues, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday evening. According to the police’s initial findings, a masked person entered the company on Siemensstrasse around 5:45 p.m.
The spokesperson initially provided no further information when asked. The police write on platform X (formerly Twitter) that there is currently a major police action. It said there is currently no danger to the public (see message below).
“The police are on site with a large contingent,” the police wrote in a statement. A Special Operations Command (SEK) was also deployed. “The search is in full swing. A police helicopter will also be deployed for this purpose,” the spokesperson said.
