A 28-year-old Iraqi escaped relatively unscathed from a car accident in the Tyrolean lowlands on Tuesday evening. Because there was an animal on the road, he stepped on the brakes. His BMW skidded and hit a tree. The man was slightly injured and the car sustained major damage.
The spectacular accident took place around 8:30 PM in Jenbach (Schwaz district). Immediately after the left turn, the 28-year-old Iraqi had to apply emergency braking because of an animal lying on the road, the police reported.
The vehicle went out of control
The car – a BMW – then skidded, crashed into a tree on the side of the road and eventually came to a stop on the sloping embankment with serious damage.
“The driver was able to get out of the car himself after the accident,” the investigators said. The man suffered only minor injuries.
