A serious traffic accident occurred in Altach (Vorarlberg) on Thursday. A cyclist ended up under a truck.
A truck driver wanted to drive his vehicle into Schnabelholzstrasse after the highway overpass from Schweizer Strasse in Altach on Thursday around 1 p.m. A cyclist was present at the same time and a collision occurred.
The woman was hit by the truck’s twin rear tires, but was not completely run over. Parts of the bicycle and the cyclist’s jacket were crushed under the tires.
Emergency teams rescued the woman, who had to be flown by helicopter to the state hospital after emergency medical treatment. During the cleaning work, the accident site was difficult to access, causing a traffic jam.
