What happened on Sunday evening in Vienna-Ottakring between a 51-year-old and her brother (48) cannot be called a fight. During an argument, the older sister probably saw no other way out than to stab the 48-year-old with a knife.
The incident took place around 6 p.m. in an apartment building in Ottakring. According to the Vienna police, it was the suspect himself who called the emergency number.
The victim was immediately taken to hospital
When the officers entered the home with the 51-year-old, the brother came towards them covered in blood. The injured person immediately received emergency medical care from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service and was taken to a hospital. There is no danger to life.
Sister had about one per mille in her blood
Detectives were able to confiscate the knife in the apartment. The woman had to undergo an alcohol test, which showed slightly less than one per mille. The 51-year-old was then taken to a prison. Exactly why the woman ultimately resorted to the knife is still under investigation.
