The violin “Lady Blunt” won the record price of $ 15.9 million in 2011 (approximately EUR 15.4 million).
The sound of the now auctioned violin, which was named after their former owner “Joachim-Ma”, was particularly “rich, complex and full of depths,” said Sotheby’s. It is therefore one of the instruments that Stradivari built 300 years ago during his so -called gold period.
