According to the survey, the majority of the Austrians are satisfied with their sex life. However, there is still room for improvement for many. Because the majority of respondents would like to have sex much more often. On average you have sex in this country twice a week, but the majority wants twice as often. The boys between the ages of 18 and 29 belong to the most active age group.
The emotional proximity or safety and physical proximity are absolutely in the foreground during sex. Only 14.2 percent of the Austrians are primarily their own satisfaction. On average, the Austrians give themselves a number of 2.4 for their own skills.
Orgasm is still often fake
More than half of the men almost always come during sex. It looks a bit different for women with around 23 percent. Moreover, 7 out of 10 of all women interviewed stated that they regularly show an orgasm.
Biggest fear of sex
The greatest care of the Austrians during sex is to disappoint the partner or not to satisfy their counterpart. The fear of the youngest is greatest. Closely followed by the concern that the sexual partner is not physically satisfied. About 10 percent also stated that they were afraid that their genitals are not beautiful enough.
It is also interesting that only half of male respondents are satisfied with their penis size. At the same time, however, more than 90 percent are satisfied with the size of the counterpart, and half the size of the penis does not necessarily see good sex.
Accept tenderness and “no”
Tenderness, enjoying the other partner and accepting your own boundaries, explains the perfect male lover for the Austrians. Only 10 percent like the man pretends the tone.
Perfect lover
The perfect female lover is very similar. It is also seen as particularly attractive if the woman is confident and says what she needs.
In short, the Austrians believe that they are happier if they often have sex. Every second already had a one-night stand, every fourth an affair (27 percent) and 22 percent an extra-marital affair.
Sex toys still very popular
Shaving intimate is very important for generation Z – compared to the baby boomers with almost 35 percent. Two -thirds (66 percent) describes themselves as very or would they want to experiment. Gay and bisexual respondents were particularly open (84 percent). The absolute majority likes to use sex toys in their own bedroom. About 10 percent of respondents find sex toys disgusting or even notorious. Lubricant, massage oil and the vibrator remain absolute favorites.
Or man or woman, both according to the study, must have unspoken sex fantasies. Half of it is therefore dissatisfied with your own sex life.
Men do it themselves most often
When it comes to masturbation, the men do it themselves at least three times a week. However, almost half of the women like sex with masturbation.
Porn does not match reality
Generation Z looks the most porn (twice a week). In contrast to the baby boomers, who leave it on average twice a month. Moreover, the Austrians agree that pornography is by no means realistic.
In the new sex study by ProSiebensat.1 Puls 4 GmbH for the “overview” format, more than 3000 people between 18 and 69 years were asked about 112 demand blocks in early 2024.
