They promise more performance in bed, but what is actually in it often stays in the dark: more and more food with potential -enhancing effects are guaranteed by customs in Germany. The products that are sold under names such as “Horny Performance Chocolate”, “Jaguar Power” or “Secret Miracle Honey” do not contain -designated active ingredients that cause significant health risks.
The phenomenon has been known to the authorities since 2022 and is increasing rapidly. The Zoll researchers Munich and Hamburg have already protected more than 13 tons of these products. There are no national figures, but in Baden-Württemberg alone, the Regional Council of Karlsruhe investigated 18 cases of such honey-like pastas last year-a strong increase compared to only three cases in the previous year.
The Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety has also determined an increase: 49 of 56 tested samples contain 49 potential -strengthening active ingredients.
Hidden medication with risks
The problem: these products often contain Sildenafil and Tadalafil active ingredients that are included in prescribed potential, such as Viagra and Cialis.
