When you try to get a stone out of the mud, a boy has sunk on the Troboch. A random firefighter had to be improved in his rescue operation – successfully.
The boy was immediately on the lake on the Eisenstrasse between TROBOCH and Trofaiach with his mother. He wanted to play with a stone on the muddy coast – and gradually dropped on the hip. He could no longer free himself and called for help. The mother immediately made an emergency call.
Helper dug with bare hands
Lukas Stiper of the Troboch-Timmersdorf Volunteer Brigade happened to be in the neighborhood, heard his phone calls and stepped to act: he carefully robbed the scene of the accident with a branch in his hand, tried to calm the boys and started digging him out with bare hands.
But only the fire brigade was able to save the child from his perilous situation. With a ladder they got access to the sunken and pulled it out of the mud.
Strong hypotherm, but unharmed
The boy was physically unharmed, but he was very cooled. After a medical check, he was able to go home with his mother and recover from the hardships and shock.
