The chamois must have walked from the Kapuzinerberg to the police. A small herd lives there all year round. The rocky terrain of the Salzburg city mountain offers the animals many climbing opportunities. The population on the Kapuzinerberg goes back to a single buck that was lost there in 1948. At that time he was given a goat for company.
