In Serbia, countless people have taken to the streets again against the government. Students marched against the public broadcasters RTS and RTV in Belgrade and Novi Sad on Monday evening and blocked entrances from the offices.
The students accused the public service providers of ignoring their movement and protests.
“The public broadcast works against all of us,” says it. They built tents for the buildings of the channels and announced a longer blockade.
Collapse of roof as a trigger
The Gulf of Protest in Serbia was fueled by the collapse of a Vordach station in Novi Sad on November 1, in which 16 people were killed. Since then, hundreds of thousands of people have been on the street against corruption and mismanagement almost every day. They have been the largest protests in Serbia since the 1990s.
The Serbian government is under great pressure because of the protests. The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, repeatedly described the protests as controlled by abroad.
