The United States have suspended the premium of five million dollars (4.4 million euros) on Mexican drug boss Johnny Hurtado Olascoaga.
There is another three million dollars for information that leads to his brother Jose Alfredo. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the reward is the first for a cartel classified as a terrorist organization.
According to estimates of the anti-drug Authority, the drug cartel smuggled more than 36 tons of methamphetamine, twelve tons of heroin and twelve tons of cocaine in the United States every year.

- The Hurtado Olascoaga brothers are the leaders of the cartel “La Nueva Familia Michoacana” (LNFM), which was named foreign terrorist organization by the US Department of Foreign Affairs at the end of February.
