Youth time is often a phase of trying out – and at least of limits. Especially when it comes to youth protection, the spirits differ here: how much control is needed – and useful? Forbidden young people must protect – against addiction and other risks. But are they really deterred? Or do you often promote the opposite because of the youthful rebellion?
Many adults remind themselves how they were once confronted with forbidden – albeit by parents or at school. Some of them certainly encouraged this to be a secret break in a secret break. Young people develop a strong need for self -determination, especially in puberty. A ban can quickly cause resistance – in principle. Instead of forbidden, some parents trust conversations to motivate their descendants to take on personal responsibility.
How did you experience one or the other ban in your youth? Have you prevented them from preventing the prohibited, or would rather increase the charm that assumed? How do you deal with this topic in the education of your children? Do you trust forbidden or educational discussions? Share your opinion with us and the community in the comments!
