A teenager in Aschach on the Steyr (Öo) responded quickly and exactly on Monday evening to Monday. The daughter of the farm owner was awakened shortly after midnight by strong smoke development. Together with her dog she fled through the window. Then she read her family out of her sleep and called the fire brigade.
“That was lucky in accident. It would look different ten or fifteen minutes later,” says Rene Havelka, head of operations at ff Aschach an der Steyr, the nocturnal effort on a farm. The emergency call was received on Monday at 0.13 am.
Due to the strong smoke development, the daughter of the farm owner was awakened. “A flight through the smoke outside was no longer possible. It saved herself and the dog through the window of her room on the ground floor,” said Havelka.
Stabbed at the door of the door
Then the young person ran to the front door and ring. With this she made her left, already sleeping family – the father, her two brothers and the grandparents – and therefore became a savior in need. “When we arrived, all residents were already out,” says Havelka. Because the next Hydrant was 700 meters away, alarm level 2 was declared.
“Fire out” after 20 minutes
The respiratory protection team was able to quickly control the fire in the laundry room, 20 minutes after the alarm could be given “fire”. “The daughter responded in an exemplary way,” praised the emergency services of their mentally current response. Maybe she looked back a bit from her youngest brother because he is a member of the Youth Fire Brigade in Aschach.
