Residents in turmoil – 41 clauses in the lease are not correct

In Saalfelden in Salzburg, a lease with illegal clauses now flew up and gets a lot going on: the landlord belongs to four houses on the street. The Chamber of Labor has been engaged.

A single mother had been waiting desperately since she moved from the former “Bundesher blocks” on Plegenergasse in Saalfelden that she will get her full down payment. So far in vain.

She was looking for advice from the Chamber of Labor. When the experts there searched the contract, they did not believe that their eyes: 41 provisions are illegal, according to their judgment. This varies from an unclearly formulated invoicing of the energy costs to the edition that it must be painted while moving.

Particularly questionable provisions in the contract
Curious: “The tenants must report immediately if their income situation deteriorates,” Anna Riegel-Milzer from AK can only shake his head. She also explains that the recovery of special deposits for additional payments to the operational and heating costs, which do not even apply.

There are also no clear formulations in terms of value adjustment of the rent. Riegel-Kilzer: “In the rental law, those who are affected are particularly difficult to deal with it. Because they are afraid to stand on the street.”

In the meantime, the landlords have signed an order. However, an argument is still in court. And there can be many other affected people. The three owners belong to four houses and other properties in Austria on Plegergasse.
