Turn: Musk Confidants are not NASA -Baas

Date:

Who is head of NASA in the future? This question is now surprisingly open. Jared Isaacman, which was presented by US President Donald Trump for the management of the US Room Trip Authority, is now out of the race. One reason could be earlier.

U-turn when occupying the NASA top: in contrast to previously planned, the billionaire Isaacman will not take over the management of the US Room Trip Authority. The White House explained. “It is important that the next head of NASA fully corresponds to President Trump, America-First agenda,” and a successor will soon be announced directly by President Trump, “said the White House spokeswoman, Liz Huston.

Donocrat donations?
The White House thus confirmed a report from the New York Times, according to which Isaacman’s nomination had been withdrawn. According to the newspaper, Trump had discovered that Isaacman should have made donations to Democratic MPs in the past. On his online Platform Truth Social, US President commented on the staff. “After a thorough assessment of earlier connections, I hereby put in the appointment of Jared Isaacman for the management of NASA,” Trump wrote.

Trump’s departure from his former candidate comes as a surprise. In December last year he had praised him for the highest tones. With his experience as an astronaut, Isaacman is “ideal for this (…) to lead NASA to a brave new era,” Trump said at the time. According to insiders, Isaacman can be replaced by Steven Brush. Kwast is a lieutenant general of the American air weapon in retirement and in favor of Trump.

Isaacman himself also commented on his resignation about X: “I will always be grateful for this opportunity and encourage our president and NASA when they lead us to the greatest adventure of human history.”

The United States deserved the very best, “a manager who is ready to reorganize the best and smartest spirits, to rebuild and collect to deliver the world -changing headlines for which NASA was made”.

Isaacman is the founder of the Shift4 Payment Service and the Dragen International Aviation Company for military services. The 42-year-old maintains close contacts with Trump’s recently lowered government adviser Elon Musk. With its space company SpaceX, Isaacman has flown twice. In 2021 he was part of the first crew in space, which only consisted of amateur astronauts and, together with three other space drivers, circulated around the earth for almost three days. In September 2024 he participated in the “Polaris Dawn” mission with three other space tourists, where they floated around 1400 kilometers and also briefly came out of their spaceship.

Musk also responded to the staff decision
“It is rare to find someone who is so competent and generous,” Musk responded to X to the message on the staff. Musk himself was responsible for the bureaucracy after Trump’s office in his government.

After four months as a special consultant from Trump, the tech billionaire finally announced his retreat from the White House this week. According to the “New York Times”, Trump’s staff decision should also have to do with the decreasing influence of Musk in the government.
