Police had to act on a massive scale in Grazkorn in Styria on Tuesday evening: a 28-year-old man had rebelled and threatened to kill a couple.
The incident occurred in Gratkorn on Tuesday evening. A 28-year-old rioted in the courtyard of a residential building on Grazer Strasse. When neighbors – a married couple (aged 33 and 34) – approached him about the noise, he threatened to kill them and claimed to be in possession of a firearm. This led to the large-scale action of the police.
In addition to several police patrols, the Cobra was also called to the scene. While the police were conducting outside security, the special forces combed the scene and quickly found the 28-year-old and were able to arrest him.
Paintball marker protected
The “firearm” used for the threat was also seized. It was a paintball marker, which deceptively resembles a firearm. During the search, officers also found a small amount of narcotics. An alcohol test was also positive.
Interrogation not yet possible
Due to the disability of the man, an interrogation was not yet possible. The Graz prosecutor’s office temporarily ordered the arrest at the police detention center in Graz. The interrogation will take place as soon as the man’s health permits.
