In contrast to last Sunday, with three deaths due to lightning strike on the mountain, there are ideal conditions for tours in Tyrol during the long weekend. The temperatures can reach extreme values from Monday.
Everywhere in Tyrol are the signs of Corpus Christi on “Sun Full” and “Pure Sun”. Meteorologist Konstantin Brandes van de Weerservice predicts this extremely pleasant prospects. “There are ideal walking or excursion weather in the long weekend,” says the expert.
Many go into the mountains
There will be many locals and guests back in the mountains – also to find cooling at the summer temperatures. The thermometer rises to 25 to 32 degrees on Thursday. The temperatures fall slightly on Friday, but – as on Saturday – climb to 30 degrees. And on Sunday there are even very heated 34 degrees in the Inn -Valley.
Especially satisfactory for the mountain fans: there are usually only small spring secrets, the thunderstorm is low. “Individual thermal ports cannot be excluded at the same time – especially in the most important Alpine Ridge and in East -Tirol,” predicts Konstantin Brandes.
No comparison with “Death Sunday”
In any case, the situation is in no way compared to the last weekend and the many serious thunderstorms that demanded three dead. As is known, three local alpinists were fatally hit by lightning of lightning during the descent of the lunch point near Schnann in the Tyrolean Stanz Valley. The emergency services found the mountain climbers who missed missing in the evening as part of a large and sensitive search.
Rather start as a “basic rule”
But whether it is large or low thunderstorms: in the summer the rule on the mountain generally applies to starting tours early in the morning.
According to the meteorologist Brandes, summer will continue in the coming week. From today’s perspective, however, it is still unclear whether the temperatures in extreme areas rise and whether the thunderstorm is increasing again. Up to 35 degrees at the start of the week can be possible.
