Curious traffic accident on Wednesday afternoon in the Tyrolean Zillertal! A 64-year-old woman left the road between Uderns and Fügen for unknown reasons, then drove about 100 meters along the track and eventually came to a stop against a concrete footbridge.
At about 3 pm, the residents were driving out of the valley on the B169 when they turned right off the road in the municipality of Fügen. “The car collided with a concrete footbridge of the Zillertalbahn,” said the police.
Taken to hospital
As a result of the accident, the driver from the Kufstein district was seriously injured and, after receiving first aid at the accident site, had to be taken by ambulance to the district hospital in Schwaz. The car was probably a total loss.
