The incident took place on Sunday, July 6, about 30 minutes after the show started. The on -site emergency services responded quickly and professionally, said the Südwestrundfunk. According to the “Bild” information, the viewer was revived, but died a little later in the hospital.
At that time there were around 2,000 guests in the audience, including the child and the spouse of the viewer, who were still cared for on site. “Please understand that for reasons of personal protection we cannot do more details, especially the person involved and the cause,” De SWR told the newspaper “Bild”.
Production team was not informed
Neither the moderator Stefan Mross, nor the production team would have been informed about the incident during the current program. According to the report, Stefan Mross was shocked and removed.
Singer Loona, who appeared in the show, said: “There was a noticeable excitement behind the scenes – everyone was a bit nervous. Shortly before my appearance I didn’t pay much attention (…).” After the show, the moderator explained that there was a medical emergency. The musician would have had hope that everything went well.
