A 19-year-old, who had disappeared after surfing, was discovered and saved for kilometers from the Australian coast after an extensive search on an uninhabited island.
The father of the young man had given himself hopelessly before the salvation. The fact that this was successful and his son was safe is a “miracle,” he luckily said to the “Daily Telegraph”.
Family members called the police
The 19-year-old reported from home on Wednesday afternoon to surf a beach in Wooli, 480 kilometers north of Sydney. When he did not get home, the relevant relatives called the police.
This then started a search on land and at sea around Wooli. The young man was finally discovered on North Solitary Island. The island is approximately twelve kilometers off the coast.
