A criminal wanted by the office of the Public Prosecution Service of Innsbruck by international arrest warrant can now be caught and arrested in the Balkans. The 41-year-old North Macedonian, who has been searched for years, would have many crimes on the notch. At the moment the suspect is still waiting for his delivery to Austria.
Dangerous threats, serious extortion, abuse, drug trafficking-the list of crimes that are being charged for 41-year-old from North Macedonia is anything but short. Since 2023, the public prosecutor of Innsbruck is looking for the man through international arrest. This year, the state schedule of the State has finally taken over the target search.
And that was eventually awarded with success: “In the course of long -term investigations, it eventually managed to determine his place of residence in the Albanian capital Tirana,” says LKA Tyrol.
Targeted campaign in Albania
In close cooperation with the Federal Criminal Police Office and Albanian authorities or targeters, ‘operational measures’ were finally initiated there, which eventually led to the arrest of the alleged criminal in Tirana last Friday. Drugs were also seized during use.
Wait now for delivery
The arrested person is still in custody in an Albanian prison and is waiting for the delivery to Austria.
