A 55-year-old driver, who got stuck with her car in Steyregg (Upper Austria), was not shocked by an apology when the Alcoholomat indicated 3.18 per mille. But it won’t do much.
The driver from Steyregg wanted to turn left into Mauthausener Straße in Steyregg with her Dacia from Pleschinger Landesstraße on Thursday around 1.30 p.m. But that went wrong.
Car stopped on grass field
The car stopped on a lawn. A witness immediately called the police, who requested an alcohol test. Several attempts were needed for a valid alcohol reading, resulting in the alarmingly high value of 3.18 per mille. “I only drank one beer,” the alcoholic told the officers who had taken the driver’s license. The police officers took Steyreggerin’s partner to take her home.
