That incident of early July in Leonding, Upper Austria, has been clarified. Two Syrians (12 and 14 years old) allegedly rammed into a six-year-old boy with an e-scooter and when the grandmother called the police, she was punched in the face. For the time being, the suspects were able to escape, but they are now under investigation.
The serious accident happened on 9 July on Kollwitzstraße in Leonding. At about 3.35 pm in the afternoon, the six-year-old was hit and injured by an unknown boy with an e-scooter.
The victim’s grandmother (54) then held one of the crooks and was about to call the police when she was punched in the face. The grandmother and grandson were then received by the rescue service, after which the suspects were able to escape.
Now the two boys were examined. They are two Syrian minors from Linz, aged 12 and 14.
