For months, doctor Lisa-Maria Kellermayr (36) in Upper Austria was threatened with murder and insulted by opponents of vaccination. Now she’s dead.

General practitioner Lisa-Maria Kellermayr (36) from Seewalchen am Attersee has been living in fear and terror since November 2021. The reason: She appeared in public for the corona vaccination, which turned radical opponents of vaccination against her. Death threats, insults and insults followed.

Kellermayr did not feel sufficiently protected by the police, made the threats public and hired a private security service, but had to close her practice at the end of June. In an interview with Krone at the time, she said, “I can’t take any chances when it comes to the safety of my patients and staff.”

And even then, Kellermayr had a premonition of what was to come. “The people who threaten us think they have the right to kill me. And that they behave like good people because I am the personification of evil. Because in their eyes I killed thousands of people because I vaccinated them.” , she said when asked if the threats would end if vaccinations were no longer required.

She should be right. In recent days, the radical anti-vaccination gang has again mobilized against the doctor. There was rushing and threats in relevant telegram groups. A man from Germany, whom authorities were already investigating over the threats against Kellermayr, unabashedly rushed on Twitter.

Apparently all this was too much for Lisa-Maria Kellermayr. On Friday around 7.30 am, an assistant found the doctor lifeless in the operating room. She had taken her own life, the public prosecutor in Wels confirms to the “Krone”. A suicide note was also found at the ordination. Since the cause of death is clear, an autopsy will not take place, according to the prosecutor’s office.
