With a knife in hand, a 44-year-old suspect ran after his wife on the street in Vienna on Saturday. There, the alleged perpetrator pushed the 43-year-old to the ground and punched her in the face. When she tried to fend off her aggressive husband, the woman suffered a cut.
The dramatic scenes took place in the Favoriten neighborhood around 11:15 PM. An argument had already broken out in the couple’s apartment. The Turkish citizen is said to have threatened his wife with a knife in her hand, after which the 43-year-old fled and ran into the street.

However, the suspect followed her and eventually caught up with her, knocked her over and beat the woman. However, she fought back and suffered a laceration to her hand. A neighbor of the couple saw the scenes and alerted the police.
The 44-year-old suspected attacker has been arrested and the kitchen knife is secured. According to the police, a ban on entering and approaching the suspect had been issued.
