After an accident between a car and a truck, a woman from Leoben (42) died on Monday morning in Stainz (Styria). She was trapped in the car. Resuscitation by the emergency physician was to no avail.
Tragic traffic accident Monday morning in Rassach (municipality of Stainz): A 42-year-old from Leoben got on the B76 towards Stainz in the opposite lane – why is still unclear. There she collided head-on with a truck.

Her vehicle was thrown into a meadow and she got stuck in it. The Stainz, Rassach and Bad Gams fire brigade rescued the woman from the car wreck. However, the resuscitation efforts of an emergency doctor were to no avail, the 42-year-old died at the scene of the accident.
The 58-year-old driver of the trailer was uninjured in the accident. He had 0.0 per thousand, as the police said.
The B76 was closed for the duration of the operation and traffic was diverted via Bad Gams. After about four hours, the fire brigade troops were able to re-enter and end the operation.
