Renfe will open the registration on its website and in its application tomorrow, Monday, in order to be able to request the free subscriptions for Cercanías, Rodalies and Media Distancia and subscriptions with a 50% discount for Avant from 24 August.
Renfe has several commuter lines in the Basque Country, such as Bilbao-Santurtzi, Bilbao-Muskiz and Bilbao-Orduña. In the case of Navarra, it could benefit from some 200,000 trips on the routes connecting the capital Navarra with Vitoria-Gasteiz, Burgos, Tudela and Zaragoza.
According to company sources, the aim of the measure is to ensure that users register in time to be able to purchase the subscriptions and pay the deposits online from August 24 and for the entire duration of the measure, between September 1 and December 31.
Starting next Monday, they add, there will also be a space on the Renfe website with all the information needed to request and use recurring subscriptions.
To acquire the subscription, the user must advance 10 euros as a deposit. If the user has made more than 16 trips (four per month) with the pass during the four months that these passes are free, Renfe will refund the deposit via the same payment method used for your purchase.
