For a good cause – magicians cast their magic spells into the hearts of families

Date:

Thommy Ten & Amélie van Tass provided magical moments for a good cause at an exclusive benefit show in Ischgl (Tirol). The Hotel Post wasn’t the only place where the magical couple met die-hard fans.

From the desert of Nevada to the mountains of Tyrol: Austria’s magical exporter Thommy Ten & Amélie van Tass went on a flying visit back home. And that too for a good cause. At the charity private show at the Hotel Post in Ischgl, a select audience enjoyed truly magical moments – and up close! Because only about 40 people were allowed to see the magician duo up close. The “Krone” was exclusive.

Private magic show for donors
“It doesn’t happen often that we play in front of a handful of spectators. That is also something very special for us,” says Amélie happily. Through “Global Family” families in need get a week’s holiday in Austria for free. A special highlight this time was the own magic show. But those willing to donate also managed to secure one of the coveted seats at auction — and do so well.

Eleven hour journey accepted
A family from Germany traveled 11 hours to get there. “Many of the affected families don’t know what a holiday tastes like,” explains “Global Family” initiator Karl Polaska-Auer. With numerous hotel partners, almost 200 families have been able to enjoy this “taste experience”. Evi Wolf has also received active support for ten years: “There are so many bad fortunes. We are happy to be involved in such a great project,” explains the hotel manager.

Fans also Tyrolean mountains
The audience was not only enthusiastic about the show. The magician duo also met fans – for example from Belgium – during their treks through the Tyrolean mountains. After a few days at home it’s time to go back to America. The world champions of mental magic have already put on 300 shows on the big show stage in Las Vegas since November.

Appointment with State Opera fixed
But all the fans at home also have reason to be happy: “We’ll be back. In addition to the spring tour, ‘Magic in Vienna’ has just been recorded at the State Opera in August next year,” reveals Thommy.
