Investigations are underway – Kellermayr case: these are the two suspects

Date:

In the tragic case of Kellermayr, two suspects have been identified in the course of the investigation so far. Meanwhile, new details are also known about a suspect from Berlin. He is under investigation for threats.

The prosecutor’s office confirmed to the Ö1 “Morgenjournal” on Wednesday that the Berliner is a 31-year-old who may be in the far-right scene. At this point, however, it is not entirely clear whether the man is actually the author of some threatening emails to the deceased doctor.

Second suspect from Bavaria
The second suspect is a 59-year-old from Bavaria. He is said to be an opponent of corona measures and also sent several emails to the doctor. The man was questioned in May, but refused to testify. However, according to Attorney General Klaus Roland, he most recently cooperated during a search. Due to the ongoing investigation, officials are unable to release any further information about the suspect at this time.

A hacker from Germany had previously located the two suspects in Germany – they are said to have written the threats. Shortly afterwards, the public prosecutor in Wels involved colleagues in Munich and Berlin in connection with the threats. Last week, the Attorney General in Germany took over the investigation.

Suspect banned on Twitter
A few days before the doctor’s death, the 59-year-old suspect boasted in a tweet from Kellermayr that the prosecutor’s office had dropped the case against him. And then spoke again of a tribunal to Kellermayr: “(…) We are watching you, and we will bring such creatures before the people’s tribunals to set up in the future! (…)'”, quoted the spokesman for senior prosecutor Klaus Ruhland, and moments later the Twitter account was blocked.

Traces led to the dark web
The first investigations in Austria came to nothing last year, just weeks after Lisa-Maria Kellermayr filed a complaint herself. The tracks would have led to the Darknet, so that the researchers’ hands were tied.

The committed rural doctor and advocate of the corona vaccination from Seewalchen am Attersee has died at the age of 36. Death threats, some unspeakable, from vaccine opponents had dogged the young doctor practically to her death.
