Large-scale fire brigade action Wednesday night in Wies (Styria): A wooden hut was on fire. The local fire brigade was on site with 92 men and seven vehicles. Fortunately no one was injured. The cause is still unclear.
A driver raised the alarm shortly before 10:30 p.m. after he noticed the fire in the wooden hut in the barnyard while driving. The owner was not at home, he was at work.
Damage still unclear
The fire brigade rushed to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is expected to be determined today, Wednesday. According to the police, there is a woodchip heater in the basement of the cabin. The fire may have started there. The extent of the damage was unknown.
