Anxious hours for an 81-year-old Monday evening in Graz: After her husband (90) did not return home from a visit to the cemetery, she called the police for help.
At around 6:30 p.m. on the holiday, an 81-year-old reported to police that her 90-year-old husband had not come home. The woman stated that he was driving his car and had announced a visit to the central cemetery. He didn’t have his phone with him.
Stuck after a fall
A police patrol found the vehicle parked in front of the central cemetery. Police dogs were used to continue the search. They found the missing man lying on the ground behind a hedge in the grounds of the military cemetery.
The missing person was conscious. He had fallen before and was unable to get up on his own. The 90-year-old was taken to UKH Graz by the rescue team with injuries of unknown grade.
