Russian troops fired on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkov on Tuesday evening. According to the mayor, several rocket launchers were used and, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties. Walls were smashed and windows smashed by impacts next to a residential building.

“The night is before us, the usual time for attacks on Kharkov. Be careful,” mayor Ihor Terekhov warned the residents of Kharkov. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also called for caution on Tuesday evening, particularly affecting people in already occupied territories. “Please do not go near the military installations of the Russian army and all those places where they store ammunition and equipment (…)”, Zelenskyy said.

According to estimates by Ukraine’s Supreme Commander, Valery Zalushny, the Russian military fires 40,000 to 60,000 rounds of ammunition every day at Ukrainian army positions. The situation is currently most difficult around Donetsk, where Ukrainian positions at Avdiivka, Pisky and Marjinka are under heavy attack. There was no independent confirmation of this information.
