A working meeting of the Austrian Airlines (AUA) flight crew on Tuesday morning led to disruptions and delays in flight operations. In total, 36 flights and about 1800 passengers were affected. Then the bang: there are warning strikes until 2.30 pm!
Passengers who have booked a flight with Austrian Airlines before Tuesday still have to take into account delays, rebookings or flight cancellations. What began with an onboard staff meeting led to a warning strike that is expected to last until 2:30 p.m. At the company meeting, it was unanimously decided that the assembly would go on a warning strike, Yvonne Heuber of Vida union told the APA.
“Stand-by” employee called
According to the current status, 36 flights and about 1800 passengers will be affected by the work meeting, the AUA announced in advance. Destinations in Central Europe are particularly affected by the adjustments. “Austrian Airlines long-haul destinations can currently be served regularly,” the AUA announced. To keep the effects as low as possible, employees who were on standby were called to work, according to the AUA news agency.
And the airline has already actively informed passengers who provided a telephone number or e-mail address when booking about flight adjustments and rebookings.
