As a result of the bankruptcy of Kika/Leiner, some companies are offering new jobs to the affected workers. One of the latest offers comes from the Austrian armed forces, which are looking for employees for the camp at 14 locations, among others.
Other occupations include warehouse managers, forklift drivers, material managers, carpenters, saddlers or unskilled laborers, as Defense Department spokesman Michael Bauer wrote on Twitter. A minimum of 2000 euros is paid gross. According to the KvB calculator, this is a net sum of 1567.04 euros.
By way of comparison: Employees in the retail sector earn a minimum of 1817 euros gross (1st to 3rd year) according to the collective labor agreement, so this income is just below that of the army.
