The company JoMa Gartenbau from Sierning – which previously offered swimming pools, swimming ponds, garden design and roof and facade greening – has filed for bankruptcy. Nearly 700,000 euros in debt has been built up and eleven employees are affected by the bankruptcy.
The young company – only registered in January 2022 – says it has recently been affected by the generally difficult economic situation and especially by the market situation in the construction sector. Normally, as a horticulturalist you can only get started shortly before the construction site is ready, but at the moment many project developers lack the money. As a result, JoMa Gartenbau GmbH from Sierning faced significant losses on major projects in Vienna and Linz.
No renovation planned
Due to the difficulties, the company had to file for bankruptcy at the Steyr Regional Court, the Credit Protection Association of 1870 announced on Tuesday. Eleven employees are affected by the bankruptcy; they still have to complete existing orders. However, there are no plans to restructure the company.
A total of debts of 684,000 euros have been accrued. 72 creditors must be served.
