The Ministry of Culture and Sports has extended the application period for the Cultural Youth Bonus for 18-year-olds in 2022 to 31 October. What’s new is that from this Tuesday and until the end of the period also applied for at one of the 2,389 offices that Correos has opened throughout the Spanish region.
To do this, all beneficiaries of the aid must go to the bonoculturajoven.gob.es website. When accessing the register, they have the option to apply for the Voucher through the post office, by means of a form that they must complete, sign, print and present at each post office along with their official identity document (DNI, NIE or Residence Card). ).
After the application has been submitted to the post office and the personal data has been collected, the post office will forward these requests to the Ministry of Culture and Sports for processing.
Last summer, the Ministry of Culture and Sports selected the listed Correos as a collaborating entity for the management of the payment of the Youth Culture Voucher, which is already made through the Correos Prepaid Card in virtual format and, if requested, also in physical format .
Until this Tuesday, 378,417 people have started the application procedure for the Youth Culture Voucher that has been enabled on the web for this, 227,420 have been identified digitally. Of these, 166,520 young people or their legal representatives completed the application correctly.
Each of these applications is then assessed and subjected to the State General Administration’s individualized grant control process. For example, all young people who apply for this support have one year to use the card from the date on which the Cultural Youth Bonus is awarded.
For their part, more than 851 cultural companies already offer their services and products via the Youth Culture Voucher. An additional 3,500 have signed up to participate in the program and are in the process of data verification. Cultural companies can continue to participate in the program without a deadline.
The renewal of the Culture Bonus for young people who turn 18 in 2023 is included in the General Government Budget project just presented.
