“I hope to go the same year as ‘Saber y Ganar'”

Date:

After a world tour on ‘Maraton man’, the presenter makes his debut on La 1 with ‘You have touched’, a new competition for summer evenings

Thirty participants compete against each other in duels with the ultimate goal: to be able to play in a Japanese billiard table, with fourteen holes in which there are gifts and a lot of money, and to reach the final pot. This is the formula of ‘You have touched’ (Monday to Friday, 7:50 pm), the adaptation of a French competition that will occupy the afternoons of La 1 on TVE during the summer months. The format is led by actor and comedian Raúl Gómez, who returns to the small screen after a world tour in ‘Maraton Man’.

-How would you define ‘It touched you’?

-It is a program that combines many different elements in competitions. One of them is Japanese billiards, where participants can win money and gifts. When it spins, on the last roll, they face the pot with only one hole in the billiards. It is a program that combines skill, opportunity and knowledge. Moreover, the participants are always the same. The audience is the participants and a very cool familiarity is created.

-So you’re like a family on television.

-It is a special casting, consisting of thirty people who are willing to participate and have fun. There are all kinds of people. Every viewer will feel identified in each of the profiles we have. The great thing is that because we spend so much time together, there are really cool synergies. When the participants come out, I learn a little more about them. It is impossible not to get attached and there is a very good relationship between them. Winning the pot is a party.

-Have you seen the original version of the match?

-In the end, the format is the same. What changes are our personalities. There is a lot of laughter and jokes. More Latin, I don’t know how to say it. And of course the presenter also changes. I have a different way of presenting. In Spain, when the music is playing, we love to dance.

-His last project on television was running (‘Marathon man’) and now he’s standing still on a set…

-Now I’m less tired (laughs). And I appreciate that, after traveling the world in recent years with a bang of a shoe and many marathons. It has been an exciting phase living in ‘Maraton Man’. In ‘You’ve touched’ I am very calm, I don’t have to run. And that is appreciated for the health of my knees. And it’s the first time I’ve been commissioned to present a match on a set. He previously did ‘Negotiate as you can’ in Cuatro’. I am very comfortable. I had a great time and when the shooting is over I will go for a run.

-What other television competition would you like to participate in?

– ‘Pasapalabra’ is an extraordinary contest and I trust it will last as long as this program or even ‘Saber y Ganar’. They set us up at the same time as ‘Pasapalabra’. The great thing is that we’re going after ‘The Hunter’, which is now experiencing its best moment on television. And battle Antena 3’s star match… It’s TVE’s commitment to the format. We all know that ‘Pasapalabra’ is an extraordinary program, but the idea is to be well-coordinated grill neighbors. All of Roberto Leal’s successes are my successes, because we are very good friends.

-And another format you want to present?

-I even see myself presenting the TVE news (laughs). I really like television and entertainment. And bet on new formats. I love challenges. I don’t care what program it is, but it has to have a positive essence and a good vibe, and even tell stories.

-Many viewers started making faces on ‘Val die falls’. Would you possibly see his return?

-I’ve always dreamed of putting on those men’s suits in black and sunglasses and asking irreverent questions of a well-known character. After ten years of television, I was able to fulfill that dream, the year Spain won the World Cup. This program revolutionized everything in its premiere and the way to do a more rogue journalism. I think the formula was so incredible that other shows started replicating it constantly. Now I don’t know if I would see the return of ‘Who Falls’, but awkward questions are always cool and it would be good for television.
