Daddy Yankee Justifies Puerto Rican Music At His Last Concert In Spain

Date:

The King of Reggaeton for many started its last world tour at sunrise on Sunday as part of the Puro Latino festival

From Puerto Rico to the world, starting with Torremolinos (Málaga). Daddy Yankee, for many the King of Reggaeton, kicked off his final world tour at dawn on Sunday as part of the Puro Latino festival, offering tens of thousands of people his final concert in Spain, a hit show that explains why it is the precursor and leader of the genre. The musician was due to start his farewell on Friday, at the Puro Reggaeton Festival in Madrid, whose celebration was eventually cancelled, so this Saturday he gave his all.

The Puerto Rican has the ability to turn on the crowd, even if he arrives late. And he was delayed by more than two hours, as Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez stormed onto the stage this Sunday at 1:00 AM instead of 11:00 PM on Saturday when his concert was scheduled. To the beat of ‘Remix’, Daddy Yankee took the stage, supported by a tireless dance group consisting of a dozen people.

The artist, dressed in a white t-shirt and pants and an orange suit with a black-and-blue leopard print, as well as his classic sunglasses, continued with “Problema” and “Rompe” before thanking his followers for their support in the start of his last tour. He also reminded them, Europa Press reports, that even if he retires, his legacy will live on. “From Puerto Rico to the whole world”, the composer also claimed on an evening that did not miss ‘Despacito’, a success of successes that he shares with Luis Fonsi, through which ‘we have marked the world,’ he said.

Already announcing the end of his farewell in Spain, the artist expressed his emotion at the warmth of his followers and gave way to the song that was missing and that everyone was waiting for, ‘Gasolina’. Since its release on the album ‘Barrio fino’ (2004), this song has been one of the stars on the dance floors. Daddy Yankee then said goodbye to Torremolinos, Spain and Europe, as the crowd was on fire and chanted the singer’s name as he left the stage. “I love you, I hope to see you again.”
