The family of Michael Barr, a victim of a murder for hostility, says the devastating punishments against the Kinahan gang have done them some justice.

Michael Barry, 35, a manager at Sunset House in north Dublin, was shot dead by a masked gunman on April 24, 2016 and became one of 18 victims in the bloody standoff between the Kinahan Hutch.

Barry, a native of Strapan in Ko Tyrone, was brutally murdered by a Kinahan mob, whose leadership has now come under massive international sanctions – and a $5 million bounty has been announced for information on her.



The wanted posters were shown at a press conference in Dublin, where the US government offered $5 million for information.

Garda Commissioner Drew Harris said yesterday that 44-year-old Daniel Kinahan, his brother, 41-year-old Christopher Jr., and his 65-year-old father, Kristi Snner, are “losing out money, friends and influence”.

In an interview with the Irish Daily Star amid tragic news yesterday, Barry’s father Colin and sister Nolen said he would give some grieving families a form of justice.

Barr added: “I am delighted that families in Dublin and beyond whose loved ones died from the drug and gun inundation of the Kinahan gang in Ireland will now receive some form of justice.

We seek justice for families.

“It will be interesting to see what happens and we will be watching that closely,” Noleen Barr added.
