Northern Ireland hijacking investigation investigated after woman ‘pulled’ from truck

Police said the woman was “pulled” from the truck early in the morning.

A women’s purse was stolen during an accident at 2 am today (Monday).

Police say investigators are looking for information after the truck was hijacked on Red Lion Road near Lugal, Armagh.

“Police received a report that a female driver had been shot by two men who raised flags and started taking her out of her car,” a PSNI spokesperson said at around 2 a.m.

They added, “The woman left the place unharmed, but was deeply affected by her ordeal. During the accident, a minivan was found and the driver’s bag was stolen.”

“Anyone who has seen a suspicious person in this aspect or may have video footage of the camera is invited to contact investigators, citing 101 on 3/21/22 83.”
