This is a bill promoted by EH Bildu that was approved today in the Chamber of Gasteiz. He has had the support of almost the entire parliamentary arc. Only Vox voted against.
He Basque Parliament this Thursday approved the legal reform that gives it green light to install solar panels and charging points for electric cars in the buildings of the CAV, without having to apply for a permit municipal permit.
This novelty is included in a bill promoted by EH Bildu and aimed at reforming an article of the Land law and urban planning. She has had the only vote against Vox MP, Amaia Martínez, since PNV, Elkarrekin Podemos-IU, PSE-EE and PP+Cs supported her.
This change removes the obligation to apply for a municipal building permit for installing solar panels and charging points for electric cars in buildings. This will speed up the procedures considerably, as a notification to the corresponding town hall is sufficient before carrying out the works.
However, some exceptions are considered and this permit must be applied for when the works are carried out in buildings classified as cultural heritage or cataloged, when they affect the foundation or structure of the building and when an environmental impact statement is required.
With this, the CAV is responding to the European Union’s request to governments to take measures to identify and remove administrative obstacles to installing solar panels on roofs.
By EH Bildu, Michael Otero He expressed his satisfaction with the almost unanimous continuation of his initiative. “It’s a very important step forward,” said Otero, who stressed that processing this reform was easy.
